What is methylation? That’s a great question, and precisely the one I had when I first started listening to this audiobook. Dr. Moreno discusses this issue from the get-go, which lays out the DNA implications and dietary needs to help balance methylation to help prevent cancer and quicker aging. This means eating eggs, taking B-12, and more. Essentially, this audiobook is simple the fast food version of a one-on-one meeting with a personal nutritionist.
Truth be told, whether or not someone will be interested in this title won’t be affected by this review. This title is a medical synopsis for people who wish to hear from a doctor but don’t want to see the doctor. While snake oil solutions are readily available nowadays, the information that Dr. Moreno provides is to the point: take care of yourself and eat right, including a proper balance of vitamins and minerals. That’s really all there is to it. And being a person with strict dietary practices, I can attest: vitamins and minerals really do work.
Is this audiobook for you? That depends on how many times you’ve come back to this title, this review, or read Dr. Moreno’s other works (maybe even see him on TV?). The question isn’t whether or not you’ll look into this title, but whether or not you’d prefer the audiobook edition. And getting to the point, Dr. Moreno is talented at expressing and marketing himself. His very skill that helped him get to this point will help you enjoy this audiobook. If you like salesmen and paid programming, his voice will put you at ease. That said, despite how simple the book can be, there is a lot to it, and perhaps it would be the better choice to buy the book and highlight what matters to you…unless your commute really needs a distraction.Disclosure: I have received a reviewer copy and/or payment in exchange for an honest review of the product mentioned in this post.
