Written by Eileen Spinelli and illustrated by Elina Ellis, this book is a fun and colorful title that is perfect for ages 0 to 4. The story moves page by page through different animals from raccoons to peacocks who are busy with everyday life. Children will love the bright and colorful illustrations that are full of life and beautifully displaying what each animal’s life is like. The author uses fun descriptive words and rhyming sentences to bring to life the business that the animals daily live with. The final message of this story ends with the reality that moms are busy too, but never too busy to spend time with their children.
A downside to this book is that it only takes in account the mother-child relationship and not the father-child relationship. With that said, I would not recommend this book to SAHD (Stay At Home Dads) or single fathers. It would, however, be a great book for moms of all kinds, especially moms who work for a living. Overall this is a beautiful board book that children ages 0 to 4 are sure to enjoy.
