Narrated by Wayne Shepherd, “Think” is yet another audio book available by John Piper. Focusing on the necessity to think, this audio focuses on thinking of thinking. This audio book is presented in a manner to reflect that of a radio subscription or series, with the musical interludes between each “session.”
Shepherd narrates the text well, with a style reflecting that of the radio series just mentioned. His moderate to fast speech rate with clear pronunciation and clean dictation covers what Piper may have very well expected of the book, but inflection is mostly missing, with emotionalism lacking, of that which Piper so richly includes in his writing. Overall, listeners will find this suitable for the road if they have become used to radio sermons, but for the quality of an audio book, many will wish to defer to a narration more complete.
