Johnny Heller narrates this audio book format of “Vintage Church,” by Mark Driscoll and Gerry Breshears. Heller presents the text in an awkwardly raspy voice, maintaining a clear dictation and smooth transitions within the punctuation. He maintains a honest presentation of the text that Driscoll and Breshears worked earnestly to present. One can question, however, why a mainstream and active preacher like Driscoll was unable to provide the narration. After careful consideration, Driscoll must simply not have the time, nor would one want to listen to his voice (lacking his body-exaggerated movements) for the length at which Heller speaks.
Great for reflective study, many listeners may find this audio to be too complex to focus on during a normal car trip, but an excellent refresher during the afternoon break time.Disclosure: I have received a reviewer copy and/or payment in exchange for an honest review of the product mentioned in this post.
